Background information on the transmission:

This Thursday 14 February,at the German Ministry of Economics and Technology in Berlin, the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, together with ESA Director General Jean-Jacques Dordain will make an inflight call to the ISS. They will talk with European astronauts Hans Schlegel and Leopold Eyharts, and with Shuttle Commander Steve Frick, ISS Commander Peggy Whitson and Russian crewmember Yuri Malenchenko.

The call will be part of a wider event with German Space Agency DLR.
